In today’s internet world there are products available for justabout anything you may have on your mind. Finding a myriad ofinternet homeschool based curriculums on the web is certainly noexception. If you are relatively new to searching forinformation on the internet or new to homeschooling in generalhere are a few thoughts on what to look for if you areconsidering a web based home school curriculum. First of all I am not a big fan of adding more ‘in front of thecomputer’ time to any child’s day. We need to be very carefulabout this and the habits we ingrain into our children. Therewill always be a battle for the child’s attention when it comesto watching TV or surfing the net. I believe that today, far toomany children’s reading and comprehension skills suffer from toomuch visual high level learning and not nearly enough lowerlevel reading and comprehending what you have read. Otherquestions concerning a homeschool internet curriculum that needanswers would include things like: When is the course available on the internet?

It is available to me and when and do I talk to an actualperson? How is the testing done? How do I get the results of the testing? Am I required to get any additional materials in order tocomplete this curriculum? Even with all of these questions (and you will probably haveeven more) answered, probably the best advice is to see if theinternet homeschool curriculum allows for a try it before youbuy it. Any type of a 30 day free trial or some type of demothat you can download is very helpful. If you do get a trialdownload or trial online offer make sure that you’re not justgetting a sales presentation and that you are seeing the actualproduct. Internet based homeschool curriculums have tremendous potentialand with some good well thought out questions before youpurchase you can increase your chances of your money well spentand success for you and your child.
